Why this book exists
A focused place to understand what is happening
This book is for someone grieving a life that will not, now, contain the children they wanted. Not a miscarriage, and not the monthly ordeal of infertility, but the settled, lifelong grief of childlessness itself, however you came to it. If you wanted children and do not have them, and you are mourning that quietly, in a world that does not seem to understand there is anything to mourn, then this book was written for you, and I want you to know from the first page that your grief is real and that you are allowed to feel it. I am a coach, not a doctor, and I will be clear throughout about where the ordinary grief of a childless life ends and where something heavier begins that needs professional care, and I will point you toward that care plainly. I.
The writing is designed to reduce shame, bring the underlying pattern into view and give you practical ways to respond without pretending that every life follows the same formula.
