Why this book exists
A focused place to understand what is happening
This book is for the person who fights people in their head. The one who wins the argument in the shower and loses it again by lunchtime. The one who drafts the perfect reply at two in the morning to a message that came days ago, or delivers a devastating speech to the steering wheel, or re-runs the same conversation with the same person twenty, fifty, two hundred times, and never once says a word of it out loud. If that is you, you have probably been told you overthink, or that you should try to let it go, and you have probably noticed that being told this helps not at all. I wrote this book because the arguing mind is doing something specific, and once you understand what, it loosens its grip in a way that willpower never manages. I am a coach.
The writing is designed to reduce shame, bring the underlying pattern into view and give you practical ways to respond without pretending that every life follows the same formula.
